The Certified Business Coach® training is a double-accredited international coach training program that meets the rigorous standards of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the European Mentor & Coaching Council (EMCC). These organizations have established ethical guidelines and core coaching competencies that are essential for becoming a certified professional coach.
Through the Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) accreditation from the ICF, the Certified Business Coach® training ensures compliance with high-quality content standards. Additionally, the program is the first part of the Certified Business Coach Master® program. The Certified Business Coach® training and the Certified Business Coach Master® program have also received the European Quality Award (EQA) from the EMCC.
Graduates of the Certified Business Coach® training can apply for either the ICF international certificate or the EMCC personal accreditation, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria. The CBC training is designed as a blended learning programme that combines contact teaching, online teaching, independent study, and practical coaching experience. This approach aims to provide a comprehensive and effective learning experience for the participants.
Blended learning enables flexibility and depth in the learning process, requiring an active approach and time management from the participants. The training program can be completed alongside work, and it typically takes between 4-6 months to finish, depending on the start date of the training group.
The programme includes four periods of contact teaching, 60 hours of ICF and EMCC accredited training, 20 hours of coaching with clients, and 10 hours of coaching among peers. The contact teaching periods are spread over the training period and comprise a balanced mix of teaching, group work, exercises, discussions, and reflection.
To prepare for each contact teaching period, participants are required to listen to online lectures, complete advance assignments, and engage in independent study, including reading literature on coaching, peer coaching, case group assignments, practicing coaching with clients, and writing a learning diary.
The training program also includes an orientation module, which opens about four weeks before the start of the training programme. It is an independent study module that introduces the basics of coaching and allows participants to network with other members of the training group.
The practical coaching experience is a crucial part of the training, and participants are encouraged to practice coaching with clients within or outside their organizations. Additionally, the participants get access to ample and diverse study materials in the Howspace online environment, where they can collaborate and learn with peers.

The training fee is currently priced at 3,500 € (usually 3,990 €) + VAT 24%. Payment for the training can be made in 1 to 12 instalments, with a handling fee of EUR 5 per invoice added to partial payments.
